Developing Commitment
Our commitment to the developing world:
We recognize that improved crops can have a significant positive impact on food and water issues in developing countries, and we believe that many of our technologies are applicable to these situations.
We're committed to maintaining an ongoing dialogue with leaders in the developing world and learning about specific needs in key regions.
Where possible and appropriate, we will work with research institutions, non-government organizations (NGOs) and government agencies to make our technologies available at no cost to researchers for use in crops that are essential in the developing world but not core to our business.
We will be active in seeking opportunities to contribute ideas and technologies as part of a solution to the challenges of feeding people and improving economic well-being. To further enhance these programs, we will remain involved in the technology transfer process and provide technical guidance throughout the development process.

Reduce Emissions
Our Nitrogen Use Efficiency technology can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture. In addition to improving farm economics by reducing fertilizer use, we are working to create an additional incentive for farmers to plant NUE crops. We’re working to develop a mechanism through which farmers can receive carbon offset credits if they apply less nitrogen fertilizer to fields.
